The Re-Creation of Brian Kent — Harold Bell Wright (1919 First Edition Hardcover)
Harold Bell Wright — the minister-turned-novelist whose *The Shepherd of the Hills* made him one of the best-selling American authors of his day — published *The Re-Creation of Brian Kent* in 1919, and it became another of his beloved Ozarks novels.
It's the story of Brian Kent, a young schoolteacher and aspiring writer whose life collapses around him, and of Auntie Sue — the steadfast Ozarks woman who takes him in and, through patience, work, and faith, helps rebuild him into a new man. A "re-creation" in every sense.
**This edition:** The first edition — The Book Supply Company, Chicago; copyright 1919 by Harold Bell Wright and Elsbery W. Reynolds, "Published August, 1919." Illustrated by J. Allen St. John. Hardcover, no dust jacket.
